Challenged to create familiarity where function follows form
Tasked with refreshing a line of IKEA’s kitchen utensils, we set out to make use of the material (recycled plastic) in a way that made something so amazingly mass-produced feel hand crafted.
The result is a family of products where the key element, the hanger, tied the siblings together but also how their defined shapes seemed cut out of a common core volume and adapted to their defined function.
