Jabra
Various projects with Jabra + Made by Bellham
My first couple of projects as an independent designer was for Jabra. An entirely new Over the Head anc headset and active, behind the neck wireless buds.
Made by Bellham + Jabra
Starting off as an independent designer is tough but I got the chance to quite soon prove myself by designing one of the most complicated consumer electronic products there is; the noise cancelling headset with compact folding capabilities.
We also set out to clean up what is usually called the “fork” and totally hide is within the cup. With the aim of creating a generally sleeker look and brining more fokus to the Jabra ‘kick’. A trait that has become a key identifier for all Jabra headsets, starting with the Biz 2300.
This headset also kicked off a first for Jabra, fabric on their products. Later this would be used on several other products such as their Speak2 series of products as well as the Panacast videobars.
At Designit I worked with Jabra creating both product design solutions for their CC&O and mobile departments.
Color & finish strategy
As the designated lead designer I got the opportunity to set a color and finish strategy for Jabra's mobile products which they're applying to their headset- headphone- and speaker line of products. To propose viable color solutions we had to conduct an extensive macro driver mapping where mega trends were defined to find color spaces suitable for Jabra's main markets.
BIZ 2300
The BIZ 2300 headset is the result of an extensive research phase conducted by Designit and Jabra's R&D team at location in call centers world wide. As hard work pays off, BIZ 2300 has received the attention and success that it deserves, with design awards to prove it.
Jabra STREAMER
The Jabra Streamer is a compact bluetooth solution for the car. The result of an intensive industrial design process and a close collaboration between Jabra's teams in Denmark and China and my Designit team in Copenhagen.
